Keep warm with Spicy Bean Burritos!

Mother nature dumped 5 more inches of snow along with a day's worth of rain over the last couple of days.  While I love to see the moisture, it would be nice if the ground were thawed enough to soak it up.  As it is, we're playing in slush puddles and watching our snowmen (or rather snowpigs) melt.
After a chilly playdate in the snow, Spicy Bean Burritos sounds like just the ticket!  Ready in 30 minutes, this meal leaves more time for playtime!

Fantastic Fish!

"Oh, you fantastic fish!"  You know you're a parent when you can quote lines from cartoon movies and rock 'n' roll songs remind you of the same rather than your wilder, younger days.  Not that I was ever that wild, mind you.  :-)
So, as a nod to Mega Mind, this week's fish dish is truly fantastic.  It's quick, it's delicious, and adding more fish your your diet is never a bad thing in my opinion.

Our family moved to our 20-acre farm in 2004. It's been an adventure as we fixed up (or rather are still fixing up) the house, planted the pasture, and invited various critters to share our space. This is our story of experiments, successes, and failures that hopefully reflect the great joy we experience growing our family on this organic farm.
