I pushed the envelope a little bit tonight. We've been testing pizza recipes for Bee Bags, experimenting with sauces (or none), toppings and crusts. We're making progress, but primarily in what doesn't work.
A Bee Bag recipe has to be straightforward, quick, nutritionally balanced and delicious. A tall order to be sure, but one we enjoy testing.
Tonight's pizza experiment was inspired by the grocery store rather than a magazine this time. We tried a zucchini, mushroom and onion version and a Brussels sprouts, garlic and bacon version. One was a little flat on flavor, one was just right for me, but then I love Brussels sprouts. The rest of the family was split on which was more successful.
